July 10, 2013 was filled with many professional learning experiences. Students were
especially thrilled during what they had expected to be a regular session on
reviewed computer skills. Instead, Marian University Professor and
technological guru Lynda Shultz decided it was more beneficial for students of
UBMS to learn how to use Microsoft Word in a completely new, fun and efficient way.
It was a day of oohs and aahs as Professor Shultz revealed a whole new side of MS Word to the already career hungry students. One student stated after being introduced to a new word function “dude this is fancy.” The techniques learned for the day were indeed something to impress and if students utilize all that they have learned, that is exactly what they will do in the future workplace.
