Math and Science (UBMS) program! Get ready to embark on a journey of growth,
learning, and empowerment with our brand-new Afterschool Connections
sessions. This innovative program is designed to replace the traditional Study
Tables, which we held from February 2014 to May 2023. We are now offering a more
comprehensive and tailored experience to program participants and their
parents/guardians.

to create a dynamic and immersive experience that will empower you for the road

personalized guidance from dedicated mentors who are here to help you achieve
your academic goals.
🔹 Tailored Tutoring: Access tutoring in specific
subjects to ensure you're excelling in every area.
🔹 Team Building and Leadership Activities: Build
important skills like teamwork, communication, and leadership through engaging
activities.
🔹 STEM College and Career Workshops: Explore the
world of STEM careers and gain insights into the college application process.

Afterschool
Connections sessions will begin on September 7th and will be hosted at
the Ridenour Science Center, Room S-104, from 3:45 PM to 5:15 PM
(or until 5:30 PM on guest speaker days). For those who require transportation
assistance, simply send us an email to request support.
🗓️ Stay in the Loop with the Calendar
We'll be
sharing a calendar of activities with both UBMS participants and their
parents/guardians, so you can plan ahead and make the most of this enriching
experience.
🤝 Mentors and Engagement
Expect to be
guided by fellow college students who are serving as mentors. Your attendance,
participation, and engagement will be recorded and contribute to your eligibility
for stipends and other exciting prizes.
📋 Structured Agenda and Refreshments
Say goodbye to
ambiguity! We're introducing a structured daily agenda, ensuring you get the
most out of every session. Plus, enjoy refreshments as you engage and learn.
🚫 Closures and Excused Days
Please note
that sessions will not be held on days when both of our partnering schools is
closed. Similarly, if Marian University is closed, no session will take place.
However, if only one school is in session, we will determine the feasibility of
holding a session on that particular day.
