Attention students and parents in Fond du Lac and North Fond du Lac! The deadline to apply for the Upward Bound Math and Science (UBMS) program was Friday, May 31st, 2024. However, you can still take advantage of this amazing opportunity!

For the past weeks, we have been reviewing submitted applications and admitting new participants in the program. We received words that some students and parents needed more time to finish with their application. If you're still working on your application, feel free to finish and submit it.

What is UBMS?

UBMS is a free program designed to support high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in math and science. It's open to current students finishing grades 8, 9, 10, and 11 who will be enrolled in the Fond du Lac or North Fond du Lac school district in September 2024.

What are the benefits?

  • Free Summer Academy: Accepted participants will be involved in the 2024 UBMS Summer Academy, running from June 17th to July 26th. This intensive program offers:

  • Specialized math and science classes

  • College readiness workshops

  • Career exploration activities

  • Fun social events and trips

  • Year-round support: Throughout the school year, UBMS provides academic support, college planning assistance, and personal development guidance.
